Dr. Brian Watson

Dr. Brian Watson graduated from OVC In 1984. After practicing for 3 years in Cobourg, he bought a practice in London where he remained for 32 years. He, his wife and 2 shelties retired to the area in 2019. While working part time 3 days a month at Gull River, he still finds time for long distance running, forest exploration, camping and enjoying his 3 grandchildren.

Lori
Hospital Manager
Lori is a Registered Veterinary Technician who graduated from Ridgetown College in 1999. She has over 22 years of experience working with dogs, cats and a variety of other animals. We were thrilled to have Lori join our Gull River team in July of 2018. Puppy appointments are Lori’s favourite part of the day, and she loves being a part of their care over the years; watching them grow into happy, healthy adults. Lori also has a special interest in senior pet care, pain management and anesthesia. Lori, her husband Dan, and their children, were all very excited to have left the city in 2018 to move to the beautiful Kawartha area. They share their home with three dogs (Stitch, Percy and Loka), as well as a cat named Spitfyre. When she is not busy playing with her pets, Lori enjoys photography, kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming, having campfires, and travelling with her family.

Molly
Veterinary Technician
Molly is a Veterinary Technician and graduated from Georgian College in 2017, where she received two awards for her academics. Molly also has a degree in Biological Science, from the University of Guelph, where she graduated with Honors.
Molly has always had a love of animals and knew from a young age that she wanted to work with them, originally planning to be a Veterinarian. However, after time spent working in clinic Molly realized she loved the role of Veterinary Technicians. Being a Technician combines all the things that Molly enjoys; patient care and nursing, surgery and anesthesia, client support and education, lab work such as ear and skin cytology, and most importantly snuggles with the patients.
Outside of work Molly is often with her husband, Garrett, and their young son, exploring the outdoors and finding things to do as a family. Molly also enjoys recreational horseback riding, reading and snuggling with their tuxedo cats, Bagheera and Winnie!

Kaitlyn
Veterinary Technician Student
Kaitlyn plans to attend Georgian College for their Veterinary Technician Program come fall. Kaitlyn grew up in Scarborough and has always had a love for animals, she moved with her family to the Kawartha area in 2015. She is now living with her boyfriend James and their overweight cat Chance. When Chance came into her care she was determined to give him a healthier life, so he is on our Metabolic diet trying to lose some pounds. In her spare time Kaitlyn enjoys being outside with nature or being inside with a good movie in the evening.

Trina
Veterinary Technician Student
Trina has been at the clinic since she was a co-op student in 2020, and is enrolled to attend the Georgian College Veterinary Technician program in fall 2022 with her twin Kaitlyn! After growing up in Scarborough, Trina and her family moved to Kawartha Lakes and haven’t looked back! Her and her boyfriend have a bouncy husky named Grizzly, who always keeps them on their toes with his happy go lucky attitude. In her spare time Trina enjoys hiking, camping, video games, and a good cup of coffee!

Ashley
Veterinary Assistant
Ashley has been working in the Veterinary field for over 9 years and has a keen interest in laboratory related work. Recently she made the move to the Kawartha Lakes and is loving every minute of it. Currently Ashley shares her home with her rescue dog from Antigua “Bing” and her cats Newman, Kramer and Beano! Ashley grew up in the city and enjoys English horseback riding, spending time with family and friends as well as a good book by the fire! Gull River has been such a fantastic experience so far, Ashley is still getting to know all of our amazing patients and clients and is sure to say hello next time she sees you in the clinic or around town.

When she isn’t at work, she is spending time with her husband, two kids, and their bouncy dog Eevee. She enjoys reading and crocheting on a nice quiet day.

Hollie is new to the veterinary field and enjoying every minute of it. She has lived in the Kirkfield area with her fiancé, and their 2 boys for 10 plus years. They currently have one cat Oreo, whom they adopted from the Humane Society in Lindsay.
